A medical examination at the ENDO Clinic revealed a muscle injury in Miyaichi’s left calf – a bitter blow for the player, who resumed partial training just a few days ago after being sidelined by osteitis pubis. The injury will now delay his scheduled return to full training by several weeks.

"It’s frustrating for the lad, even though we hadn’t expected him to return this year. The aim was for him to resume full training in January,” said head coach Timo Schultz at this morning’s news conference.
