FC Buffalo to visit Boys in Brown

FC Buffalo recently announced that the club would be leaving North America for the first time in its ten-year history. The plan is to spend May 5-12 in Germany, including a stop in Hamburg.
The club play their football in the Midwest Division of the National Premier Soccer League (NPSL), the fourth tier of the American soccer pyramid, and will begin by training by the Kollau: "We are honored to start our journey in Hamburg, where will we train at the grounds of inspiring 2. Bundesliga side FC St. Pauli, one of Germany’s most well-known clubs, popular for its progressive stance, raucous support and community-based identity, and a club which is well-supported in our city as well."
FCB will also play a friendly against FC St. Pauli II, making it the first NPSL club to play a match in Europe, something it describes as " an incredible distinction". The tour will continue with another friendly in Dortmund as part of Lord Mayor's Sister Cities Festival before ending in Frankfurt.
"To have the opportunity to represent our city, country, and sport overseas as a positive light is a privilege and rooted in the long-held motto of our team 'for our city," said FC Buffalo co-owner Nicholas Mendola. "To be able to do so in these often troubling and confounding political times is a responsibility we accept with great sincerity. The evolution of a football club can be guided but not directed, and the kindred spirit we've felt with FC St. Pauli and the people of Dortmund has inspired us in new and exciting ways."
In addition to training and playing in friendlies, FC Buffalo plans to lend its hand to community-driven interests throughout its time in Germany, bringing the work ethic and community love of Buffalo to its hosts.
