FC St. Pauli and Janosch Emonts part company

Another change at FC St. Pauli is imminent, with performance coach Janosch Emonts and the club agreeing to go separate ways. Emonts, 34, joined the Boys in Brown from Romanian  club Otelul Galati in January 2015. Head coach Jos Luhukay informed the players about the change on resumption of training today. Emonts's duties will be covered by the existing team headed by Christoph Hainc and Karim Rashwan.

"The decision to part company was a mutual one. Janosch has shown with a high level of expertise, meticulousness and passion every day in his time with the club," said director of sport Andreas Bornemann. "Nevertheless, after five years of working together it was time for both sides to go different ways."

Janosch Emonts said: "I've really enjoyed my time at FC St. Pauli and put all my strength and energy into working with the team. I wish the squad, each individual player and, of course, the entire backroom team maximum success in the second half of the season. It was an honour for me to have worked for St. Pauli."

FC St. Pauli would like to wish Janosch Emonts all the best for the future!
