BOYS IN BROWN BEMOAN BAD LUCK

After the scoreless draw with Dresden, the Boys in Brown were unanimous in their view that a really good performance had not been rewarded with all three points. While they were happy with the display, they were left rueing a host of missed chances.

Leo Østigård: "It feels like a defeat. We were so much better than Dresden and their fans were out of order at the end. That really annoyed me. In contrast, we can be very happy with our performance. In our situation, we gave our all and everybody fought hard. We created so many chances but didn't take them. That's very disappointing because the win was more than deserved."

Waldemar Sobota: "We played really good football but if you want to win then you have to score goals. We missed the opportunity to score in the first half. We had four or five good chances where we should have scored but instead went in 0-0 at half-time. Dresden's keeper had a really good game, but we need to finish better. We know we need every point. We got one today but three would have been better."

Henk Veerman: "We played well for 95 minutes, had Dresden under control but we just couldn’t score. And then we had bad luck at the end when we hit the woodwork twice in the final moments of the game. Somehow that sums up the game and the whole season."

Ryo Miyaichi: "We should have won the game today, of course, but we’ll take the positives from the game. We had a really good first half, perhaps the best this season. Dresden's keeper was impressive, he pulled off lots of saves, including from me. Obviously, I should have scored in the last minute and it feels a bit like we've lost today."

Luca Zander: "We started the game well and created several chances. We have to control games like that. Both teams wanted the three points but unfortunately, we weren't able to get them. We definitely wanted the three points and it hurts that we couldn't do it today, but we'll look forward and focus on the next game."

Kevin Broll (Dynamo Dresden): "We were happy it was 0-0 at half-time. St Pauli were on top all over the park. If we were clinical, then we would have taken one of our half-chances, but when all's said and done, we can live with the point."

Chris Löwe (Dynamo Dresden): "After the first half, we had Broller to thank for keeping us in it. We didn't give much away in the second half and with a bit of luck we could have won, if the penalty hadn’t been overturned. It was a clear penalty for me. There was a slight contact and I can't understand why it was overturned. You don't have to break my leg for it to be a penalty. St. Pauli could have won the game in the last minute, so all in all, we can be happy with the point."
